Are there glutathione side effects? really?
There are NO glutathione side effects established except for skin whitening.
It is even safe for pregnant women!
Other potential side effects such as bloating or stomach upset may be attributed to dehydration. It is thus important to drink lots of water when taking glutathione supplements.
Another potential side effect of taking glutathione supplements is having a headache. This may be due to glutathione taking action inside the body.
For example, glutathione may be flushing out toxins such as heavy metals inside your body. Or, if you're not feeling well, glutathione may be fighting inflammation, thus causing a slight headache.
Or, the headache side effect may be because glutathione is reducing your body's oxidative stress.
Although I have not experienced headache while taking glutathione supplements, I know some of my friends who do.
And according to them, the headache and other "flu-like" symptoms generally vanish after weeks of using it. After which, they feel the effects of glutathione like increased energy and mood.
So if you experience mild headache or any flu-like symptoms when taking glutahione pills for the first time, don't worry. It will go away after some time. If it doesn't, check your dosage!
Glutathione depletion is a natural process that we can do something about!
Glutathione supplements, in general, are considered safe. Overdosage of which can cause skin whitening.
As with all supplements, it is prudent to consult your physicians before taking any. This is especially important if you're taking other medications.
